Gedgrave
The Gedgrave Estate lies in a beautiful part of the Suffolk coast, among the creeks of the Alde and Ore estuary. Owned since the 1930s by the Greenwell family, the estate includes farms and woods, houses and cottages, workshops and offices.
Farming is important both to the estate and to the economy of the area. The land is predominantly sandy, and we grow potatoes, onions, carrots and parsnips. Sheep and cattle graze on the marshes next to the estuary.
The estate offers houses and workshops for rent, including the recent conversion of a Victorian dairy into a range of small, high-quality offices. The nearby towns of Woodbridge and Aldeburgh provide all necessary services. London is 100 miles away with a direct rail link from Woodbridge or Ipswich.
Butley Priory is available as a wedding and event venue along with holiday accommodation ~ www.butleypriory.co.uk
